About Us

After many years working in some pretty brilliant IP teams for huge brands, Aman became passionate about making IP knowledge accessible to smaller businesses. In 2018, she started Sanderana. 

The aim of Sanderana was to deliver a slice of in-house strategy and IP knowledge to businesses who knew they needed IP assistance but were not quite sure where or how to start with a brand protection strategy. 

Aman remains passionate about this cause today making young businesses aware of all the ways in which they can protect their brands.

Outside of work, Aman has an on-off relationship with the gym, loves watching Friends re-runs, listening to music- enjoying hip-hop music most. Her top priority is spending time with her friends and family

 Maija qualified as a Latvian and European Trade Mark Attorney in 2012.  Prior to starting her own consultancy, she worked for the largest Latvian IP law firm Petersona Patents and also as Head of Trade Marks for JSC Grindeks - the largest pharmaceutical company in the Baltic states.  

Maija deals with all matters before the EUIPO on behalf of our clients. 

She is well versed in all aspects of trade mark registration, proceedings before the Board of Appeals of the Latvian Patent Office, as well as before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). 

Apart from native Latvian, Maija is fluent in English, Russian and Spanish.  

Outside of work, Maija enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, reading crime novels and playing tennis.
